I watched Soldier (1998) for the first time a few weeks ago, which I was surprised to discover is considered a kind of successor to Blade Runner by writer David Peoples (co-writer of the script for Blade Runner).

Containing several spoken references to Blade Runner, apparently a Spinner vehicle can also be seen amongst the junk on the main setting for the film (I didn't spot it).

Never heard of it, but a few seconds googling (image search) has revealed Russell's character fought on the Shoulder of Orion.

I see he was also awarded the Plissken patch!

The short answer is, it doesn't matter, if you don't catch a reference it doesn't affect enjoyment of the series.

One of the great things about Prophet is that it doesn't lead you by the nose. The reader is presented with a totally alien universe populated by characters whose motivation seems obscure. It's up to the reader to figure out what's going on. It's well worth the effort.

Deadline was very much of its time. I'm doubtful that there is a pent up demand for its return.

Never received a damaged prog. I have on occasion received other people's progs stuck to the back of mine, and these are dutifully reposted.

This seems to be a problem for me as well. Very odd, can't say I've come across this in other forums.

It doesn't seem quite as good as the Image bundle last month, but still worth picking up (some Ennis, Gaiman, Moore, Matt Wagner).

He seems to have a very small body of work, considering how long he has been in the industry and how well known he is.

(Grant got his first.  Any speculation that Mark got his after furiously lobbying his connections in the Scottish Government for a nomination in order to keep up with his one-time mentor are, of course, completely ridiculous.)

If he has connections, they're probably with Labour, rather than the SNP.

Platform boots, winged helmets and snazzy judge-pants (as seen in the interrogation scene). Those Judda were style icons.

Sector-house teleporters were in place by 2120 in the alternate future of City of the Damned, and weren't they used in Trifecta too (or did I dream it)?  Teleporters have also cropped up a few times in the hands of perps (the recent Sharks-on-legs story), aside from the DJs purloined ones.

I've just re-read Oz and I'm puzzled by the Judda's teleporters. Were these ever used again or were they ditched by Wagner et al?

They look like a narrative dead-end to my untrained eye, since their use would make many plots redundant.

The other one. He would hi-ex extras off the set for hardly any reason at all.

Yesterday I was low on energy but decided to meet up with some friends for a drink. Turns out that one guy who I've known for years was an extra in the 95 Judge Dredd movie. He had quite a lot to say about a certain actor who had a very bad reputation for how he would treat people on set.

Yeah, I've heard Max von Sydow can be a primadonna.
