Cheers, Funt, and thanks for listening. The voiceover seems less of a problem now I've seen the whole season.
A Handful of Dust will return this week.

I suppose my point is that we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water - there are plenty of great uses of voice-over, and even an interesting Gruniad article.

That article is invalid.  It contains a Nick Cage film, but that film is not Raising Arizona (actually, I've never even heard of half the films on that list, never mind seen them).

Episode 200 Woohoo!
Brett Summers from CultFaction.com is back to answer a question I posed in episode 13, is Case Files 5 the best volume to introduce a new reader to Judge Dredd?

Thanks to all my guests and to everyone for listening to my little project that started back in 2016.

The forum's very own Conrad from SpaceSpinner 2000 returns to ask Is there Life on Mars? And to continue the adventures of Anderson:Psi Division in Childhood's End by Alan Grant and Kev Walker.

This podcast was recorded before the sad passing of Alan Grant, we will be paying tribute to him in later episodes.
Also it is difficult to talk abut Childhood's End without spoilers which start early on, if you don't want spoilers read the book first.

Shall listen to that while I'm trying to navigate Central London on the way to work tomorrow...

And two Kev Walker grail pages for Conrad. The spear page is owned by the Pete Wells block himself.

Matthew Ellis joins me in a London box room to discuss an obscure, and somewhat controversial story from the first 12 issues of Battle Picture Weekly. The cover image gives you an idea of some of the problematic areas this one covers.
There is some background noise from the streets of London which I have done my best to reduce.

And the full cover to Battle #12 which Matthew chose as a grail page. One to have in the folder, rather than hang on the wall perhaps?
We believe the artist is Giancarlo Alessandrini from Studio Giolitti.

I met Graham Cannon in Close Encounters Peterborough to discuss that time when Dredd took on the Aliens franchise. We also talk about what makes a good comics crossover.

Giles Wright is back in the book club with a great collection of Dredd stories that explore Joe's connections with his family and clones.
