I felt the end of Redemption Ark was really just hurried after about 200 pages of build-up. He seems to have thought 'Hmm, this book's getting a bit long, I'll spin the story out into another one after quickly disposing of two main characters really swiftly and pointlessly then wrapping the whole thing up within 50 pages. I have higher hopes for Absolution Gap but he'd better learn how to finish a novel properly!!!
