"...the programme will be distinct from Doctor Who and no stories will directly cross over between the two projects.

How long is that going to go on for then?"

To put it anopther way, what's the point?

Jack was hardly a well-defined character in the first place (and what there was was written by Stephen Moffat). Why not just make up a new character not related to Doctor Who? Oh, I forgot, lazy journalism, pictures of Daleks, "Experminate", hype and free publicity, pictures of the monsters etc just like last time.

I really liked Captain Jack, much more than I liked Rose so I'll be looking forward to seeing how they do this. And what is it with Captain's in fiction being called Jack? Jack Aubrey, Jack Sparrow, Swansea Jack and our own cap'n Jack from Red Seas. Is it a nautical thing or what?

PS. I live in Wales maybe it's the influence of the gravel pits?

Captain Jack should just become Dan Dare and have it begun.

F'r Jesus t*ttyf*cking Christ,:).

Captain Jack was okay, crap accent notwithstanding. I can't feel excited about the new show, but we'll see.

When is the toothy Scottish bloke's Who starting?

I see there's a mention here...

Christmas one-off, then next spring?

Ah.
Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who.  I see.
