Hi,
There was some footage of gameplay and an interview with Jason on Gamesville on Thursday night, Sky One. It is often repeated during the week and over the weekend on Sky Mix so keep ya eyes open, the game looks excellent, despite the best efforts of others to rubbish it before its even in the shops.

Trout

Looks good, doesn't it?

I might consider buying it now.

But wasn't the Lawrod the old name for a Lawgiver?

Matt

Nah, the Lawrod is that bloody big rifle thingy that is sometimes holstered on the side of the Lawmaster. Can't remember when it first appeared. Hope the game features Stub Guns. Can you imagine cutting perps in half!

Trout

That may be true, but it was also an early name for a Lawgiver.

I can never actually look up old comics, but I have a specific memory on this one.

Dredd, for some reason, is resigning as a judge.
It's a Gibson-drawn strip, and he's shedding his emblems of office, including his badge and gun.

As each is placed on the Chief Judge's desk, he says, "Badge," or whatever. When he gets to gun, he says, "Lawrod."

Honest. My brain's pretty defective, but I do remember that one.

- Trout

Art

Wah! Theres some dodgy perspective in that one that would make Siku blush!

Trout

Or it's the new Justice Department Dwarf Squad.

CraveNoir

the Lawrod first appeared in prog 7, in 'The Statue of Judgement'.
Nice bit of mechanical tone on it IIRC.

judge dreddd

why is that judge pointing a lawgiver in the direction of dredd ?

judge death infection !...shoot that judge. weapons should be aimed at the ground when not aimed at perps !

Al_Ewing

I'm going to have the same problem with this that I have with Halo and the like:

"You look suspiciously like a TRAITOR to me, Judge Judas! BANG BANG! And you! And you and you and you! And what's this? A horde of traitorous SJS judges? Working for Cal no doubt - BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA. What does this 'Game Over' mean?"

not to mention those kneeling perps - "Saliva-expectorating SCUM! You'll never hock a loogie again - no matter WHAT the courts decide! Even if there were any. KABOOM."
Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

Oddboy

Better set your phaser to stun.

I think the whole lawrod thing was a mistake in that instance trout.

Justice department dropped it on grounds it was too hard to draw.
