This is an old one. I got a print of this image done last year for my living room wall but was never satisfied with the end result for various reasons - the main one being the inks, which looking back totally spoiled the original drawing. So today I decided to go back to the original sketches and rework it - inking digitally this time. I was far rougher and looser with the inks this time round and I'm infinitely happier with the result - it retains a lot more of the energy of the original sketch. I was also much heavier with the shading than I normally would be and think it makes for a much moodier piece.

Going to try out a few new colour schemes to see what works. Ideally want to keep in quite bold and minimalist - I'm open to suggestions!



Ideally I'd love to create a whole series of movie poster prints in the same style - next up is one for DREDD that I hope to get around to before the film comes out!
