It should be said that Anthology 05 which is going on sale at Bristol this summer (May) is publishing an anthology of independant comic strips by UK and Ireland talent (half of the team can be from overseas).  Hopefully in a nice decently bound book.

Basically it works by paying for the pages you want, ?10 a page up to four pages.  This is just to make it work, and anyone can contribute.  It isn't a vanity publishing event, it has a main editor Barry Renshaw of the excellent Redeye indie news mag, who does all the work, and two other blokes called Jay Eales and Paul Scott who check the rest of the content, so not just anything gets in.  Plus people get ca copy of the book and the profits are divided up among the contributors.  I think its a real opportunity to have your strips shown somewhere, with a lot less pain than usual self publishing.

But you'd have to confirm you page requirements soon feb 1 and have your strips ready a month later and the money a month after that.

Anyway, just wanted to mention it.  The small print is on the yahoo group.

Cheers

Paul
