Heh. I actually did try to introduce myself to Matt Smith at the ICA event. I thought he might appreciate putting a face to the dozen or so subtext-free Futureshocks of mine he's had to reject. I'm not sure it really went all that well (he just sort of looked at me like I was Scojo or something) and I spent the next twenty minutes thinking "I am such a twat" and kicking myself mentally. My mate Mark, on the other hand, who has absolutely no interest in 2000ad actually ended up chatting away merrily to Tharg for what seemed like a good ten minutes.

You know with a few modifications he could double as Rogue Trooper. An unscrupulous young fellow could do that, make 9 copies of it and do another rogue trooper fan fic story with Dave Gibson artwork, then bill it as Gibbons triumphant return to Rogue Trooper.

No one I know would stoop so low though...
