A very sad day for British boxing RIP Sir Henry.
I guess I must be getting old because one by one  all my heroes are dying.

It looks like everyone else has picked all the good players so I'm left with Abu Hamza, Stevie Wonder and Stephen Hawking.... great!

I play badminton once a week and tennis a couple of times a month but I don't watch either sport  on telly. I support Crystal Palace FC and go and watch them half a dozen times a year. The main sports I watch on telly are Formula one and boxing so this weekend is a really good weekend for me with the China Grand Prix and Amir Khan vs Paul McCloskey and also Andre Berto vs Victor Ortiz. I also watch the Ashes cricket and the Rugby six nations when they are on (I always support England). So I guess overall I'm quite a big sports fan.

My favourite board game was a game called Tri-Tactics. You had to marshal your army, navy and air force to capture the enemies HQ. Spent many hours in the seventies and eighties playing this wonderful game.

Got home a bit pished and promptly fell a sleep on the sofa. A really enjoyable day. Lets do it again in the summer.
The highlight of the day for me was watching Peter Wolf getting mugged by the gypsy ladies. Hey Peter if you had bought some more lucky heather I think you would have been in there

In the early hours of this morning we received one of those life changing calls. The call said my mother in law has only hours to live. She went into hospital last week complaining of chest pains. We all thought it was nothing serious but something has gone terribly wrong. It seems she was either given the wrong medication or given a huge overdose of the right medication. This has caused a mass infection which has spread to her heart and lungs. The Doctor said there is nothing more they can do except to keep her pain free and alive until we get there. Going to drive from London later today and should arrive in Dublin by tonight..
Seeing my beautiful girl in so much pain is breaking my heart.
