They were original stories by Wagner, Grant & Smith.

Much thanks to "Dredd Reckoning" I'm asking, since Wolk says that Apocalypse war was written into a strip. I really like the sound of it.

Looks like some really good fun either way. Will definitely buy the Daily Dredds book!

I can't stop laughing at this one haha

Apocalypse War was condensed into a single half page strip! There are a few multi-partners in this volume, though I think 4 parts is the longest. If Vol 2 happens, that includes the daily strips  with much longer stories.

Dredd CF 24

"Dredd is faced with one of his hardest challenges yet - dispensing justice in the 'Big Meg's' worst sector known as 'The Pit'! Also, the ultimate lawman faces a legendary war robot, when Judge Dredd squares off against the ABC Warrior Hammerstein!"

I haven't seen the cover before. Any ideas if it collects the whole pit and/or other stories?

I am, admittedly, guessing but by my reckoning this should run up to the end of the end of the initial 'The Pit' multi-parter with the 'spin-off/fall-out' stories comprising a large part of CF25! I will be wrong though...

Super excited for this one.

No fan fare for the Luther Arkwright compendium? I've never had the privelige of reading LA before but I adore Takbot's other works so this is a must buy for me. Hope that page count is wrong mind you.

Glad to see Luther again, it became more about the art for me as it progressed. Not that the art is less dense than the story, now I come to think of it :) Such a labour of love...

What the link did alert me to also was: Saga Deluxe HC and Johnny Nemo HC. That 18-issue collected Saga is mightily tempting, even if it's re-buying. And shamefully my Johnny Nemo collection remains unread. For 25 years, it seems. More hours in the day, please?

Oh I'll be having that, there's a big hole in my bookshelf crying out to be filled: I love both series, but only have them in very dog-eared floppies (the original run collected from secondhand racks all over these islands).  All except my issue of Heart of Empire that's signed by (Sir) Kenny Baker, which is kept in carbonite.

Slaine: The Brutania Chronicles Bk 1 Now up for pre-order

Great to see that this will be continuing the hardback line for Slaine, though I suppose the page length will put it more in line with the four Volgan War hardcovers, which is probably even better since there's no gutter loss on those things at all. Good stuff either way.

Anyway, this reminds me - I really would love if the earlier Slaine stories were re-collected in the same style as these Mek Files books for the ABC Warriors in the next year or so. It'd save buying all the various paperbacks for one thing, but having all the colour splash pages back in print in a book more in line with the size of the Prog would be smashing too.
