I've just had a mail from the bellardinelli group that the great man has passed on- can anyone here confirm?

"It is with sadness that I have to report the death of Massimo
Belardinelli. After a long and hard fought illness he succumbed at
the end of March in his beloved Roma."

Oh no. Sad, sad news. I'm in that group but I haven't had a message.

I hope it's not true.

:(

Two greats from my youth now gone (Richard Joseph passed on last month).

Very, very sad to hear this news.  Poor Massimo, seems like his naughty heart just wouldn't behave.  He was my first ever 'favourite 2000AD artist' (Bride of Crom - Wow), and to judge by the bits of  Robbie's correspondence with him that we've seen, an absolute solid gold gentleman.  A definitive 2000AD artist, and a massive part of my personal Golden Age.

I'm crossing my fingers that this isn't the case but it seems like a folorn hope.

RIP Belardinelli, and condolences to his family and friends.
Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

Hope it's not true, but a truly great artist who will be sorely missed.
RIP Massimo.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

awww cr*p! still he knew we all love him and his work and the last bit of art and letter that was on the board from him showed that.
i shall raise a glass to his passing and if this is wrong he is still chugging away i shall raise a glass to him any way.

Very sad news. First Tom Frame, now Massimo. I guess the "founding fathers" are getting to that age now when we'll start to get a steady stream of bereavements.

RIP Massimo. I'll make sure the Jocks raise a glass to you tonight.
We never really die.

Sad to hear it indeed.
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

That's really sad - his Biogs blew me away as a kid, and he never disappointed. Robbie's posts were a great reminder, and a nice guy to boot.

Here's to Massimo.

Dunk!

Don't want to believe this until sit's officially confirmed.

So until then... fingers crossed it's a  misunderstanding.
