Second week of Round 4 and we've got a real sense of what this Round will be like already, though while there are some headspliters this week I'd dare to suggest there are also some of the easier calls, though my prediction credentials have been severely tested in the tourney so what do I know?!?

Two strips that you would argue reimagine favourite villains... well one blatantly does and the other builds so far, so well from the classic continuity that it feels like a complete reimagining. Think there is a clear favourite here, though both have seen of decent opposition so we'll see...

Form book:

Fiends - Bye; Bob Byrne's Twisted Tales; Revere
Angelic - Bye; Judge Death; M.A.C.H.0

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.

Match ends early on the morning of Thursday 14th July and the winner gets a place in Round 5 (of 9!!!).

What on Earth is ALL of this?

For those that need 'um and can be bothered to follow 'um there's some simple rules

Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN!

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Fiends of the Eastern Front - the original is a stone cold classic and it's great to see it continuing to this day.

I really like what Rennie did with the Angel Gang, making a story with depth and intrigue, and I wasn't keen with elements of the most recent Fiends run, which turned into two immortal beings taking chunks out of each other, but Fiends nonetheless takes this one for me. I liked the original run a lot, but I've also really enjoyed the majority of what's been penned since.
