read a rumour on the comicuk forum, that dc thompson are about to put out a new adventure comic,anyone else heard anything,please shed some light here.

im not a big fan of superheros,but iv always had a soft spot for green lantern(hal jordan)It was one of the few american comic i activly tried to buy when i was young,i think it was just the whole galaxy spanning sci fi that got me,and the moore and gibbons also helped,there was one back up,called moab dosent socialize,or something,about a planet that was a gl,brilliant stuff,also like batman,i think its the fact that he has no super powers,and has to rely on his harware and wits.

just got my no 3 yesterday and i have to say i enjoyed it.big chunk of story,no interuption. i never got the monthly reprints when they were on the go as i have pretty much a full collection,but i love this format.now to my point,do any of u nice people wish that it came out more freq?like bimonthly?i know rebellion probably arnt keen as the sales of these are prob pretty good as they have a very long shelf life,but what about realising another title in the months that ee isint out,and calling it2000ad gold no 1 or something,adn only realeasing it quaterly so the shelf life of both titles is as long as ee,but we will have 8 issues of reprint titles a year

rouge is on of my fav stories, that is until he found the gernral,after that he went talking t0 rhinos,and stuff, so they tried a new direction, the hit, which i enjoyed at first, but it just trundled on and on andon......then came cinnabar the finest rogue story ever, you think this would have told the ed something,bring rouge back to basics.
but no theyhad another idea, which was pretty good,war machine, which when i was reading, presumed, was another interelude like cinnabar, (war machine was pretty good btw),but unfortunatly theydecided to continue what was obviously was a complete story.so what we have is a great character,about 3 years of good stories and load of years of shite(sorry gordon,u did ur best).
so lets say we give the story to mr moore, like dc did with swamp thing, and say, 'do what u like so long as its good an do it from the start, would it work?
i know a lot of replys are going to say let sleeping dogs lie etc,but i believe that rouge is too good of a charachter to let lie, there has to be more to tell.
even when the general was caught, i thought to myself as 10 eyar old, who was behind the general, what were his real motivations etc,at that point the story could have been continued along lines more suitable than talking rhinos.cmon ideas people.

just watched this film last night,has anyone else seen it?i was reluctant to get it out,these sort of film arnt uasually mthing,i watch films to escape reality!highly recomended, tells the story of a journalist,killed for trying to expose drug crime in the ninties in ireland,not a spoiler btw,stars kate blanchett
