Spikes

Though I'm not a huge fan of the bulk of Nolan's work, this has certainly piqued my interest.

I felt the same for Interstellar, around it's early teaser/1st trailer period, but actually seeing that film, I wasn't impressed by it at all, but given this film's subject matter, and the cast, I'm hopeful. We shall see, I guess...

But quite taken by the other-worldly look of the Dunkirk beaches.

And with this being a Nolan film, I guess this decidedly non-American WWII story will reach a much wider audience, than would normally be expected?

Interesting casting choice and hopefully will bring home to a generation of young people the realities of losing a generation of young people. The comments on that video are largely Styles mega-fans going "oooh I don't normally watch history/war movies but anything for Harry!" there are going to be a lot of opened eyes I think. Visually arresting trailer - is this the first time Nolan's depicted a real-life thing?

Fantastic trailer. Dunkirk is my one of my main areas of WWII interest, after Bletchley Park and Manhattan, and despite thinking 'harrumph, perfectly good movie already', the style of this looks captivating.

COMMANDO FORCES

At least they didn't give away the ending!

Maybe T was a member of Mr Styles' publicity team and the folk casting for this film saw how often he was mentioned for roles...

Wait... what... Dark Knight isn't real?

It's a long time since I saw the (John Mills?) Dunkirk - where they are trying to get the machine tools back safe- but I recall it being great. Always wanted to do a science fiction update of it.

I don't particularly like my was films too arty. But otherworldly and unreal probably suits the situation here. And that pier with the stukas coming in looks genuinely terrifying.
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

Would be even better to see it from the 51st perspective... can't wait for a film that shows St Valery.
