I don't know if he's ever talked about this, but Moore's alliterative titles (eg The Lethal Laziness of Lobelia Loam) remind me a lot of J.P. Donlevy titles (eg Meet My Maker The Mad Molecule, the Saddest Summer of Samuel S)
