Messages - Tu-plang

Now that Milligan is back for Bad Company we could get him to do some more insanity , perhaps with Hewlett again.  However, I'd settle for some psycho-fantasy by milligan and irving.

General / Re: Dredd Epics

An epic doesn't necasseraly have to kill a trillion people, as they have all seemed to be about recently.  A war starts, dredd stops it, oh, the loss, it's awful, three progs later it's forgotten.  I think there were a few which just dealt with non-loud action-blockbuster stories, but just not as many, even if these are usually better.  They can be equally effective, but with less pointlessness and they have more impact without the "millions dead" bullshite.

General / prog 1280
07 December, 2001, 04:45:02 PM
Prog 1280 is a special 25th B'day edition with double length Dredd, a special 10 page "jam session" (many old and new writers and artists clashing for the one story) and some other stuff that I can't remember.

Anyway, now to my question.  Will this be another more-pages-than-usual special, so soon after prog 2002?  I bloody hope so.

General / bryan talbot's thingy

Maybe that heading sounded wrong, but anyhoo.

I'm not going to be reading the Bryan Talbot thingy that's in Prog 2002 and on the web, I'll wait til it's published.  And that's final.

"Oh yeah, and A Life Less Ordinary - Lazy scripting, half-arsed artwork, muck colouring"

Yeah, but did you see the movie of Life Less Ordinary?  Bloody genius, just like something 2000ad would publish, pity they didn't adapt it any better.

General / Re: Another question about prog 2002.

Actually, it counts as that weeks prog, and the next week's, and the next week's.  It's a three-week prog, a bit odd seeing as it's a triple sized prog, which makes the size of three issues in three weeks, therefore nothing special.  Quite nice work though.

Post Prog 2002 looks promising with Wagner and Kev Walker on Dredd: Sin City and Rennie and Irving on Storming Heaven (looks like a right trip).

Does ayone know what's in the Megazine after the six part Wardog?  I don't think they know themselves. I hope it's something new, not more reprint.

"I've found, many don't know that 2000AD is still around..."

Yeah, too many people don't realise that it's still here.

There's only one newsagency getting it near me, and when I asked some others about it, at least 2 of them told me it had been cancelled in 1994.

"Quite possibly never."

Oh, well... Listen,  I'm a bit upset about that.

"Unless... Every one here on the message board decides to bomb 2000ad's e-mail with requests."

I doubt Ala Moore's heart would warm to something like that, it's really through no fault of Rebellion's.

"But seriously are there or have there been any plans to bring Moore back to finish it?"

Yes, man there have been many.  When I saw Ian Gibson's work in Prog 2001 I saw this as the first step, alas nothing more has happened.  The prolem is getting Alan Moore back to our nifty little comic on a pisspoor pay-cheque.

General / Titan's new Graphic novels...
20 November, 2001, 03:30:52 PM
Does anyone knnow what is happening with the Titan books after ABC Warriors: Mek-Nificent Seven.  I for one hope for a bit more Strontium Dog, Nemesis, and some Milligan/Hewlett insanity.

P.S.: Dan that's a fine cover on the ABC warriors collection, we should get Mick back more often.
