When did Robin Smith do a Judge Death story?

A few episodes of the first Anderson Psi Division story, Revenge (also known as The Four Dark Judges) - after Brett Ewins and before Cliff Robinson.

Slavers of Drule, if this thread is still open?

"Ooh, Ulysses is a bit too hard to understand. I'd better stick to reading these Famous Five books instead, because at least I can follow what's going on."

Five Goes to Smugglers Top is the best that Blyton ever came out with!

I had no idea Tufnell Park was mentioned (used to be my local station!)

Help! / Re: Help me Hive Mind, you're my only hope...

I have tried Googling this honest…

I’ve become interested recently in trying to chart the development of the Judge Dredd origin story - i.e. all the shenanigans with Judge Fargo, President Booth etc. Of course, the last word on all this is the Origins story starting in prog 1505, but I’m pretty sure the gist of the story was already known at this point? So my question is which progs were Fargo, Booth et al first mentioned and what other stories were there that talked about the origins of MC-1, the Judge System, the nuclear war that caused the Cursed Earth etc. Thanks for any help!

Pretty much half of the established canon was put in place in the first epic-length mega-epic* The Cursed Earth.  A bit more was added during Oz, but the rest was in Origins.  Other than small bits and pieces (like the 'Judgement' trilogy of one-offs) that's the bulk of it.

* technically Robot Wars was the first epic, but that was when epics were less than ten episodes

Have you not seen THIS

The link doesn't seem to be working, what is it a link to? Good news re: Mega City One tv series? :-)

The link does work, it goes to a page that says 'patience is a virtue' and a constantly loading screen...

1. The standard greeting is “Dear Dreddlines”, so no need to think up an overly-familiar salutation to TMO.

Ah, I was going to for "Wotcha, chinface".

I like both, but as I predict very few will vote for the No-Go Job, I'm going to go for that one!

Mayger Minor's good and all, but the Moses Quest Quest was my introduction to Johnny and Wulf, so The Moses Incident gets my vote.

Quick - everybody vote for City of the Damned while he isn't looking!

Warzone isn't Grant's finest hour. As Buttonman says, it's basically a three-prog set-up for a weak gag.

I truly love The Doc Quince Case. I never really hear it talked about - literally never - but it's a taut, exciting little thriller that's also quite sweet, and pretty funny. What's not to like? BLAT!

Never hear it talked about?

Here you go  !

My prog slog hasn't reached the stage yet - I completely can't remember there being a story called Smiley's World.  From context I'm guessing it had the mother of that family that Johnny and Wulf saved paying a visit and finding the pair staked out, Johnny recovering and deciding to get revenge?  In which case I'll go for Smiley's World.

Its really hard to disagree with anything C&F say about the strip, they are right... but as is the glory of the diverse opinions held in 2000ad fandom ... whatever it is there will be some folks who love it and some folks who don't get on with it and those subjective divergences are one of the things I love most about us minions of Tharg.

For sure! I can't stress enough that Fox and I's opinions are in no way guaranteed correct or definitive. Honestly one of my favorite things about the podcast now is sparking discussions about thrills that have otherwise gone unremarked upon for many years!

True about some thrills having gone under-the-radar for decades.  While I could remember there was a strip called Kola Kommandos which I read when it came out, I wouldn't have been able to tell you the slightest thing about it...
