Did you find volume 4? It is still on Amazon

Missed the boat on it Colin - keeping an eye out for a re-stock.

Not strictly a 'bargain' as this is the full asking price, but trust me when I say you will kick yourself for not picking this up. Many of you here will know Lee Robson and Bryan Coyle for their work on FQP books but this is them doing a series all their own.

I'm a little biased as I letter it but don't let that stop you.

Publisher blurb time:
After finding the mythical weapon known as The Godcutter, international arms dealer Mael Riqueti is set to take the reigns of the ancient secret society known as The Brotherhood Of The Blade - and anyone who controls The Brotherhood controls the world...

It falls to the world's greatest secret agent, Velicity Jones, to stop Riqueti before he ascends to the ultimate seat of power – but with acolytes of The Brotherhood in every walk of life, Velicity soon finds she has nowhere to turn...

You can buy it from Comixology here: https://bit.ly/3uwRkVn
You can buy it from Gumroad here: https://gum.co/McCKz

It's priced $2.99 on both platforms.

I know we have an 'Ebay bargains' thread around here someplace, but I cant find it at the moment, so this will have to do.

There is a copy of Spider-Man Comics Weekly #1 on Ebay at the moment for £23. It's got the Foom coupons cut out, and no free mask, but even so that's just about the cheapest I've ever seen it.

Would one of you please buy it, to remove the temptation? I've been putting it in my basket, and taking it out again, for a week now... and I just can't. Please, please, someone take it away.

Very little crossover with the two previous ones I bought (2014/5)—only the Irredeemable omni.

For anyone who ordered the Absolute Swamp Thing volume 2 but never received it (like me), it seems to be back in stock at a few UK retailers. Not quite as cheap as the Amazon deal but Books etc seem to be the cheapest at the moment - £43.00 delivered:

Seems like Absolute Swamp Thing vol 2 is sold out (again), but noticed on Books etc that they've got the Akira 35th Anniversary boxset for £100:
https://www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781632364616

Not sure what sort of price this goes for normally but seems a pretty good price. I've never actually read the whole thing (started collecting the Epic run when it started but never stuck with it) and the softcover versions go for around £15-20 each so it's around the same price for all six volumes in hardcover (plus an additional book, Akira Club) so I've gone for it.

You won't regret it - it's a lovely box set of an awesome story.  It was this boxset that dragged me back into comics after a long hiatus. Like you I'd never finished the story and when I saw this advertised I thought - hell yeah. Since then I've filled a couple of bookcases.

The Akira boxset is much bigger than I'd anticipated so required a complete rejig of my bookshelves but looks great - just need to find the time to read it now!

Humble Bundle are doing a Heavy Metal sale. I remember seeing this in WHSmith years ago but never bought an issue. Any good?

Curates egg is the best way to describe modern heavy metal. There is good stuff there - Corben, Moebius - but it's a lot of semi-pro level stuff too. Worth a punt at the price for the top tier.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Zavvi are selling the hardback third volume of Mark Waid's Daredevil run (issues 22-36) for £4.99, which seems like a bargain:

That's very much a bargain - shame its the middle of the run - but if you fancy dropping in they are some very good comics.

There's some interesting stuff in their 4 for £20 sales when they arrive. I meant to post here when I spotted it but seems to be done now. Zavvi are worth keeping an eye on.

Well, Daredevil vol 3 has arrived and it's a weighty and rather nice tome.

I have a horrible feeling that my "bargain" purchase is going to lead to overpaying for the other books to complete the set.

Yeah but it is an AMAZING run - I've not read the Chip Zach...name... run yet (but will be when I find a good way to pick it up) based on your recommendation) which I know you love but for me the Waid run is second only to the Nocenti run for best written DD comics - which to be honest translates as best written superhero comics. Both runs are also blessed with some wonderful art too. Notably Romita Jr inked by Al Williamson and Chris Samnee.
