Hi all,

Here's a link for you. www.bydandy.co.uk

I wrote and drew a wee comic for the Gordon Highlanders Museum, in Aberedeen.
It's a bit different to my usual stuff, but you might find it amusing and informative. The physical comic is only available at the museum, but you can look at it online.

Cheers for reading this and hopefully looking at the website. It's all about raising awareness of a great regimental museum.

Yup, in time there will be more Bydandy comic strips. They want to do more and eventually publish them as a collection which can be sold to help raise funds to keep the museum going. Future stories will focus on different aspects of the Gordons' history. ie One about their involvement on WW1, another on the South African campaign, Napoleonic era, etc. You get the idea.

It's going to be a challenge depicting war, with all it's "difficult" aspects, to primary school kids, but will be ultimately rewarding. Especially in this modern age where kids haven't even heard of WW2, never mind all the rest. As I said before, a challenge, but fascinating and worthwhile.

I'll keep the forum up to date as more appear.

Cheers

Colin

COMMANDO FORCES

Some excellent stuff there Colin and a clever way to get history across to the younger generation without it seeming too far in the past, if you get my drift!

That works really well Colin. Look forward to seeing more in the same vein.

Wow!

It only took me 2 minutes and 30 seconds or so to do the memory match!
