Pretty much the opposite end of the 2000ad history spectrum this one. A writer pretty much on board since Prog 1 or one of Thrag's newish Droid, interesting. So cast your vote for the writing of:

Guy Adams http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=GUYA

or

Kelvin Gosnell http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=KELVING

What is all this nonsense you ask well we're finding out whose 2000ad (Meg and associated items) writing do you prefer? Voting - just add a comment here with whose work you prefer (and anything else you might wish to say to discuss their work). This vote closes sometime early Monday 25th May?

Next Qualifying 2 face off starts tomorrow - we're getting close to the Tourney proper - how exciting.

Kelvin Gosnell, for his part in the early years and adapting The Stainless Steel Rat.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Guy Adams for me, too. Really liked his Max Normal stuff, and I even liked Ulysess Sweet!

Guy Adams, for the poodle, and for Hope.

This was another tricky decision, though. I really enjoyed Kelvin Gosnell's linked Joe Black adventures, and the Stainless Steel Rat adaptations.

Last minute vote for K Goz please! Let us not forget his fateful memo that started off this whole crazy thrill train

I was all set to go full Adams, as a big fan of last year's Max Normal story and indeed Ulysses Sweet (somewhat less so Hope, although the visuals are truly great).

But then I was reminded above of Gosnell's Joe Black, who I always find to be a little treat when I encounter one during a re-read, and his contributions to Flesh. I'm not as big a fan of SSR as maybe I should be,  probably because i'd read the books before I got to the progs and as a result they felt very rushed. I was always amused by the various name-a-likes in different strips,  like poor Kelvin Gosper who was eaten by the Beast in 24B, and lunar tyrant K. G. Gonsell with his Kelvium mines.

But I have to pick one, and based on the consistent quality of the 3 strips he's penned for the Prog, I think it's Guy Adams.
