A shameless plug for a few eBay auctions I've got, ending tonight.

I've reluctantly accepted that Mrs oshii isn't going to change her mind and let me have 2000AD prints on the wall (she's agreed to a page of original art, and that's as far as it's going to go apparently) so these should go to somewhere where their full thrill powered glory can be displayed

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/oshii71/m.html?item=274591362060&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I'm selling:

Jock's Mondo Dredd print (don't even want to think about what I paid to get it originally)
Print of Boo Cook's spine art for the Ultimate Collection
The Tula Lotay Death/ Anderson print.

I'm also umming and ahhing about my Zenith omnibus, as I've now got the individual hardbacks.  It's still in the shrinkwrap.

Still 2209 less.  Mind you, 2208 & the Meg  only turned up on Tuesday, so wasn't really expecting it today

Pat Mills could write a new episode of Charley's War for it. Who should be the artist?

Chris Weston would be amazing.

Biggest thing for me was them putting the dimensions on!   When I'm treble (or is it quad with Nemesis) dipping, I want to know that the books are going to look nice and be the same size

Note for collectors: the dimensions of these books—approx. 21cm × 28cm—is about the same as the Fall of Deadworld volumes, and a similar height to oversized hardcovers from other publishers that you might have in your collection.

Thanks both

Those are a little out of my price range unfortunately.  Will keep looking though.

Anyone?

I've very recently bought a Surface Pro 7, and it's all been pretty positive so far.

I use Cover as an app, and it's fine - although I only read the prog on it.  I don't really get any other comics these days.

In the past I had an ipad with comic zeal, which was a better app, but the Surface ticked the most boxes for me, for what I needed a device to do this time round

Other Reviews / Re: 2000AD SCI-FI SPECIAL 2020
26 June, 2020, 01:02:36 PM
I don't go along with the "reprints were always part of a summer special/annual".  Thirty years ago, in the IPC days maybe, but it's a very different  landscape now, and not something Rebellion have done before.

I get the reasoning for it here, and I think the curation  theme works, but 8 quid is really stretching what I can spend on a single 2000AD, (even if it had been all new)

That said, the new stuff that's there is really really good. Al Ewing is just sublime on Dredd.  Please get him to do more.   And total hat doff to Jake Lynch for not making me miss Henry Flint - no easy ask.

Is Mazeworld the harback?   If so, I'll take that, if available.

Now this is a tough one.   Between them, these two have penned some if not most of my favourite thrills of the last few years.

I'm going with Edgin..no, Ab...no...aarrggh, I don't know!

Edginton, I think, only on goal difference.

Mills on penalties.
