I like Halo Jones...but I always felt it was over-rated.

Liked it,(and the art especially in books 2 and 3 was especially good) but never loved it.  It is a verylong time since I read it though.

Watchmen is brilliant, but it's cold. Watchmen is like architecture -- the primary beauty is in the structure. Halo and, I think, Swamp Thing are Moore's warmest works, where a genuine affection for the characters* shines through the narrative.

My missus had never seen 2000ad before she met me. First thing I did,comic wise, was give her the complete Halo Jones to read. She's not big on comics but if they ever come up in conversation or reading in general she always tells people its something they have to read.
