Hey fellow boarders and creators, please follow the link to see how you can support a wonderful cause by using your gifts as creators, or donating signed comics, books etc...

The Legendary Shark

I've written a four page Jikan script for this. It's only four pages long so I was thinking maybe four artists might want to do a page each. I've also used virtually no dialogue in case fellow scribes would like to add a few words here and there. I was thinking that the finished pages might get auctioned off for this cause.

I've emailed DaveyC and he's cool with the idea. So, if any creators are interested in this, drop me an email and I'll send you the script.

I'm trying to post the full script here, but Firefox keeps crashing - bear with me...

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

The Legendary Shark

I've posted the script on the Jikan Chronicles thread:  http://www.2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,31321.new.html#new

but I'll also email it in MSWord format to anyone who wants a copy.

Good stuff!

I've written a script for the Comic Book Alliance charity book.

Spaceghost

I'd definitely be up for doing a page of the Jikan story if there are any left.

Failing that, if anyone else needs an artist, as long as it's not too long, I'll do something else.

The Legendary Shark

I just had a thought...

What do you think of doing something similar to the Secret Project? As many squaxx and droids as possible do a page and I'll put contributor/public copies online to download for free - but there will be one printed copy which will be auctioned on ebay with profits going to the Japan fund? Just a thought. (I don't know what's happened to the latest "Get Well Carlos" project as I'm not running that one, but I reckon this might be a goer if anyone's interested...)

Ok, that's Foxy, Flip and Lee so far on Jikan art duties. (I think Dave will want to do a page as well, but he's away from his pc most of the day so I don't know.) I'll post more details once I've contacted Dave.

Any writers want to add anything to the script? (Editing is allowed!)

Shark, this is an excellent idea! Just one thing to be aware of, though - the auctions kick off on 28th so you've a VERY tight schedule...

HOO-HAA

Other thing to remember is that you can put yourself and your time up for auction: so droids may be able to auction off portrait services, or even the promise of doing a cover for the front of a zine or self-published comic...

That might make the timescale more manageable for any creators who are tied up in the immediate future?

CrazyFoxMachine

lol I'd put my time up for auction but I don't think I'd even fetch 50p :O

The Legendary Shark

Ok, I'll make an executive decision on the Jikan story, given the time constraints:

Page One: Foxy
Page Two: Flip
Page Three: Lee B
Page Four: Dave C (unconfirmed)

When you've inked your pages, post them off to Hoo Haa for his auction. I'll print out a hard copy of the script, sign it and post that off as well so it can be included in the bundle for auction.

Hoo, what's the absolute latest you should receive the pages? (And can you PM me your snailmail?)

Is that all right with everyone?

I'll pitch in the lettering if you'd like, Mr Shark...

Cheers!
