After not reading any IDW Dredd until this week as they're now dirt cheap.
So far the main Dredd series is just badly written.
Nothing to do with not getting Dredd but the writer my getting how to write an interesting story.
Just about to start the 12 Dark Judges arc.
Must admit I'm looking forward to getting to the other series especially those written and drawn by Matt Smith and Simon Coleby.

As the person who did the Archive sort out ready for the DC trades before Rebellion took control, I can say that some of the films were in an awful state.
From picking them up in the dumped pile they were in, to sorting out and building the archive from scratch I'm amazed that some of the reproduction is as good as it is.
The Nerve Centre and Kat should be congratulated on how they've turned those films into the products we see today.

I my opinion to be classed as a new Golden Age then it has to about more than just art.

Those early Dredd stories are great, but they're stories for children.

I'd have to say that's bollocks.

There's some good stuff on the list but for me for an intro it'd be the lighter side of Dredd first and earlyish Epics.
So Complete Case File 3 & 4 would be my choice.

I have the perfect answer, get the design droids to insert a page in collected books telling the reader to put book down and not read for 7 days :-)

For what it's worth I like the sketch.

Cheers Steve.
Obviously the issue numbers don't correspond with the volume numbers and to buy off their site you need the volume number.
Now can look at filling gaps and subscribing.

I can't fault their customer services for replying however I've asked the same question twice.
I've managed to buy about half the books from my local newsagents and sent a list of what I had and asked what is missed so I could fill the gaps and then subscribe.
Both times I've been told that they're glad I'm buying the books and that they'll be 80 in the series.
So I've still no idea what issues I've missed or what the next one is to subscribe from.

I can stay stiff upper lipped through all of BoB but Major Winters final quote gets me every time.

Now can we discuss lettering.
Paper, pen and a knife, acetates or those new fangled Apple devices that do all the work for you as you dance around to The Cult.
