- Hollywood Reporter

'Richard Lennon, Audio Publisher at Penguin Random House, said:"This is a really exciting new partnership which helps us reach even more listeners in this hugely popular and ever-growing section of the audiobook market. We're looking forward to helping tell some of Rebellion's incredible stories and to creating some truly groundbreaking recordings, particularly as we explore turning some of British comic book history's true greats – Judge Dredd, Slaine and Rogue Trooper, to name but a few – into audiobooks for the first time."'

General / Dredd Case File recommendations
19 February, 2020, 10:41:19 AM
I've been asked to recommend some of the JD Case Files to someone.  He's after the crazy and inventive stuff; he liked the Cursed Earth saga but not the Apocalypse War.  He also likes the art of Bolland and McMahon, but is not (yet) taken with Ezquerra.

My first thought is CF4, which has the Judge Child saga in it, plus Otto Sump, Capt Skank and also the first appearance of Chopper.

Other than that, I'm stuck.  I need to get out the Case Files to remember what stories are in what volumes, and whether they fit the bill.  Time has been in short supply recently and I know once I get to it I'll just get sidetracked re-reading loads of stories.

Any recommendations, oh great and sagacious hivemind?

General / Titans Judge Dredd PX Vinyl Figure
11 November, 2018, 06:03:50 AM
I've just stumbled across this figure, which also comes in a black & white version and a tattered uniform "Cursed Earth" version.  It certainly beats the Funko figure by a country mile.

When did this come out?  I can't see it in the 2000AD webshop.  Is it on sale anywhere?

I've posted a few things in the 2018 thread that are really for next year, so I better get a new thread going.

Please, please, please let this make it to the big screen.

Please, please, please leave out the @#$@ language of Dredd so it can have a wider audience and become a hit SF movie.

Please, please, please let this mean we get a decent action figure out of it!

Announcements / Block War card game
11 November, 2017, 11:08:49 AM
...as mentioned in a the thrill-mail a couple of days ago.

This sounds great and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it.  The box looks nice and chunky and it's great they've gone with the proper Judge Dredd logo and used Ol' Stony Font for the "Block War" text.

It's a pity there's not more detail as I'd like to know if it will be out in time for Christmas.

Website here, for those that missed it: Judge Dredd - Block War from Game & A Curry.
