Suggestions / Re: Wednesday Night Chat

I've just received an email from You Know Who informing me of the sad passing of John Hinckleton and confirming that tomorrow's chat visit is still going ahead.

You Know Who will be there at around 20:00hrs (or 8pm) UK time.

Sad day. Sad news.

Thanks for the art you left us, John. There'll never be another quite like you.

Rest easy, now.

Mark.

ThryllSeekyr, I use Windows XP too and have no problems installing or using PalTalk. I doubt it's a global position thing, either, as I chat to people from all over the world on the service. It is possible that your Windows installation may need some updates or Flash or something like that.

If you can't get the installer to work (and I'd recommend deleting the installer you've downloaded and then downloading a fresh copy and trying to install it again) after checking your firewall/security settings then you can get to the chat via the Paltalk website. From the website, there is the facility to join the chatroom directly from there without installing the chat client. This is not the ideal way to do it, I've been told, but it is better than nothing.

Brilliant! Who's next? First come, first served (as the Prof just demonstrated).

Looks like that's answered that, then! Professah Byah leaps straight in to take advantage of the confusion.

As to the SFW/NSFW thing - let's just say that if you wouldn't see it in the Prog, you shouldn't see it here. How's that?

Well, Jim, that's an excellent suggestion. I'm happy to go with that if everyone else is. We might have to limit people to "One Bagsie a Week," though...

The Photoshop Tennis thread we did last year was fun, but spoiled by the strict turn order.

Let's have another go. This time, just take the last image on the thread and do as thou wilt with it. We'll get a few people doing different things to the same image occasionally, but what the Hell?

Rule 1: Keep the original image size (in pixels).
Rule 2: Always build upon the latest posted image (ie, no skipping backwards to use earlier images).
Rule 3: Have fun.

And to kick us off, a bit of Jock/Blythe Dreddy goodness...

Mine's a bit rubbish, but here it is anyway. Some kind of prison drama vibe going on...
