If you can get the back issues, I'd go back a few and try to get a running start on a few series. At least go back two issues, to the start of Stealth Symphony at least. Or better to the Jan 11th issue for the start of All You Need is Kill (which was off this week). Toriko also kicked off its current arc on Feb 3rd, and was made pretty accessible as a result IMO.

And yeah. Expect to be a bit confused on a few of the more long running series for a bit. Wikipedia can help a little. One Piece is probably the one worth a little effort the most. Then Bleach.

I've been reading Naruto for over a year, and I still barely understand what's going on.

I, over a long period of time, bought the first 38 volumes of One Piece, Naruto and Bleach, then when Shonen Jump digital came out, I used the Pocket Manga app on Android to catch up to the current arcs. As I said before, I realise not everyone would be comfortable taking that route, but Viz Media have had plenty of my money up to now and I'm paying for Weekly SJ.

Similarly, I used the app to catch up on Blue Exorcist, One punch Man and World Trigger. Stealth Symphony, Seraph of the End and All You Need is Kill all started quite recently and you can catch up by buying the relevant back issues on the SJ app.

while Naruto and One-Piece were utterly incomprehensible.

I was none the wiser after a dozen issues, I skip them both now, Natuto has the bonus of iffy art.

I've only read OPM so far this week. Saving ther est for the journey to Sherwood Forest tomorrow. So i'm mildly curious by the One Piece spoiler Adventurer posted in the other thread.

Cosh, as Adventurer said, it's worth jumping back a few issues to catch up on All You Need is Kill and Stealth Symphony. Both had great introductory chapters and are very strong on the whole anyway.

As for the big four titles, One Piece is relatively easy to get into when it shifts from one arc to another, Bleach an Naruto will be incomprehensible to many new readers at this point. They are literally on their last yearly run though so expect them to wrap up sooner rather than latter. And Toriko just rebooted/time jumped so might be a little easier than the others.

Also, read One-Punch Man volume 1. It's worth it.

This weeks All You Need is Kill raises an interesting question. Has it been censored? The scenes if Rita in the shower appear to have been whited out so we can't see her nipples or vaginal area. I'm completely against censorship of art so I have to wonder if it'll remain that way or will be returned to it's original state in the collected edition. It's not like the scene was sexual in anyway either.

The Adventurer

Japan has pretty draconian laws when it comes to nudity. Be it live porn or drawings. So I wouldn't be totally shocked if it was already edited.

If AYNIK was part of SJ then I would be inclined to believe it. But it's Young.Jump and anyone whose read Gantz can vouch it doesnt shy away from seriously 18+ material.

The Adventurer

Yeah, but is that nudity, or just violence? Because like much of the rest of the world nobody cares about violence.

I have enjoyed Nisekoi these past three weeks because of the characters it follows are more entertaining to me, and their relationship I prefer.

*sigh*

I begrudgingly admit the ending of the latest Nisekoi arc hit me in my emotion parts.

It was marginaly better than Nisokoi is on average. If only for those last few pages.

Hawkmumbler

I kinda hope thats it for
Doflamingo
. Pretty awesome way to die though.
