3d Animation software - a steal

I know nothing about this software, but I picked the link up in Boing Boing, and it's $10 for a $499 value - presumably some of the 3d Maestro's in here can let me know if this is even worth picking up. But, I assume, if it's an industry you're interested in working in then this is your best bet to pick up some cheap properly licensed product.

(I'm even tempted to buy it JUST to have it...)
