Huh, the files we sent have been checked and are fine - is it JUST the cbz files that are at issue here? If so, could someone redownload and have a look at them again for me?

There was talk of John Sanders writing his memoirs, so perhaps that will clear things up...

I'm going to step in at this point and provide a little guidance on this thread.

Anyone posting misinformation, conspiracy theories, or scare-stories from dodgy sources will have their posts removed and bans may be handed out for repeat offenders. If you don't see where the line is drawn by my previous sentence, don't post.

A lot of people are scared and under extraordinary stress, this is not the time to spread misinformation that will stoke panic or fear. Please practice a little empathy and think about the safety and well-being of other human beings.

Sorry you're having difficulties, Earthlet. Our webshop is currently struggling a bit under the unprecedented demand created by the free Case Files Vol.5 offer. But the droids are working to sort it.

It's not a trade, it's the special announced earlier in the year https://2000ad.com/post/4952 No idea why Diamond is listing it as a trade paperback, but sorry for the confusion.

Did anyone else get their prog in the old plastic, not-compostable, bag?

After several reports of Progs turning up in non-compostable bags we got our distributor to investigate - turns out that 720 subscriber copies were mailed out with the incorrect non-compostable poly bags. Our distributor accepted responsibility for the oversight and everyone should be back to the proper compostable bags with future issues.

Anyone enlighten me on what Dredd is referring to with 'Look at Guatemala'?

Doesn't ring any bells, its the kind of throw away line that the Big W does and other writers build a world around... all of which I love

I was wondering that too.  But I like it if it's not referring to anything in particular; makes you realise there's a whole rest of a world outside MC1.

To me it seemed obvious that this was not a specific reference but a throwaway line hinting at a wider world beyond what we see in Prog every week. I'm sure Mike Carroll will be able to get a tedious six-parter out if it in 2027.

That is quite a mean and misjudged comment, Cosh. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, we do ask that users of our forum treat our creators and their work with the respect they deserve.

The main reason for the difference is that you can only use Apple's set of price tiers for products and the nearest one available for that product is £9.99. But also, yes, Apple take a big cut.

Sadly it seems the second volume of Leopard of Lime Street may be paperback only.  If so it's another instance of the follow up volume not being hardback like the original.[/list]

Please be aware that this list is the mainstream release schedule and doesn't include any special editions we may offer through our webshop.

Should also be noted that Grud himself has popped up in the strip, so it kind of ruins the theory of him being an arm of Justice Department.

Unless that's some hardcore Wally Squad work.

I'm talking about the church itself, rather than any underpinning belief system - the question was why does everyone used 'Grud', so the cultural/secular use of religious language makes sense. Anyway, I'm pinning Grud's appearance down to collective hysterical hallucination/manifestation of the Jungian collective unconscious ;)

The church of Grud has always appeared to be the 'state religion' of Mega-City One, presumably created and controlled by Justice Department. It can be seen as a parody of the Church of England - a Christian denomination but one which serves as, essentially, an arm of government rather than being its own thing. Benign, non-radical, and existing to serve a function of state - in the same vein of Richard Dawkins' claims of being a 'cultural' or 'secular' Christian, it's a church that requires little to no faith. It's just part of the background. So while evangelical Christianity exists alongside it, it would be difficult to describe the Church of Grud as a Christian church per se.
