Yep, I agree - you could make a case for Moses, maybe, but Stone Killers doesn't really feel epic in any sense.

  I meant 'presumably!'

Nah, that works too.  By 'relaunch' are you talking about post Death of Wulf (Rage) through to Final Solution?  Or do you mean from Prog 2000-ish until Life and Death?

Kreeler Conspiracy through to Mork Whisperer, surely?

Judge Cal's also in Behold the Beast from the '83 Judge Dredd Annual, and No more Jimmy Deans from Meg 3.39.

I have to admit my enthusiasm for the tournaments waned as soon as we heard about Dave - it suddenly seemed so trivial... But of course that's not the attitude at all. Dave loved the tournaments, and this forum. Bring it on!

Me being me maybe an Indigo Prime-verse icon as well but yes great stuff so far !!!!

Hmm, a Smithverse icon is not a bad idea - Indigo Prime, Revere and Tyranny Rex are all now explicitly linked, and there's a strong case to be made for Firekind, too; but then why not an Edgiverse as well? Brass Sun, Kingmaker, Stickleback and (maybe) Leviathan are definitely connected; and Red Seas is connected to Ampney Crucis...

Tooth does love a shared universe.

Off topic, I know, but he's going to move onto Spacewarp 2? I'd assumed that it would have already been written and with the artists. It's a good job the majority of copies would have been sold to old 2000ad fans and not the fresh new audience that Pat says it's aimed at.

Yep, seems a bit mental. It's one year since the release of issue one, and the newstand edition is just about to come out - but the second issue still isn't even written...?

Is the current Judge Rico a clone of Dredd or a clone of Fargo?

Lovely mischievous wrap to 'Removal Man' - as has been mentioned, Justice Department were on top of the case throughout and it was only a matter of how much carnage Bickford could cause before they hauled him in.

Wagner seems to be about the only scribe (maybe Al Ewing, too) who knows how to write Justice Department as a credible, competent police regime, while also finding enough wiggle room for the criminals to run entertaining rings around them for a few weeks before (usually) being caught.
All too often the answer to having your criminal protagonist get away is to make the Judges (and, worse, Dredd) incompetent, braindead stooges.

However, was Judge Giant, Sr, not a reasonably key figure in 'The Day the Law Died'?
and I think that role was repirsed somewhat in Helter Skelter, or possibly one of the other times Judge Cal resurfaced.

You're absolutely right, on both counts.

Plus it's all Arthur Ranson art, and it looks fabulous.

Does anyone know if the forthcoming Rebellion edition of 'Fiends of the Eastern Front' (scheduled for 14th October on Forbidden Planet) will feature any material not covered in the Hachette Partworks hardcover? Seems strange that they would feature exactly the same stories and be released in such close proximity to each other.

The same material - that's actually why the Rebellion paperback was delayed.

I don't know about a third Sister, but the Alan Grant story Lucid (Megs 238-241) added Dementia, Ephermera and Pustula to their ranks.

If a Cartel assassination squad had a gun to the temple of each of my immediate family members, demanding I recall one scintilla of the plot of Lucid or Half Life, I would simply close my eyes and cry.

It's good stuff - probably the last time I really cared about what happened in an Anderson story. When you read it in all together, in Psi Files 4 or the Hachette Half-life volume, you can appreciate just what a great sequence it is.

And isn't there a weird inconsistency with Schenker?

He's referenced in the Cadet Anderson stories as being head of Psi Division, despite that making no chronological sense - is that what you were thinking of?
