The next Dominic Winter auction (15th Dec) has lots of lovely things in it - highlights (for me) are these 2 Keith Watson 'Dan Dare' pages of original art and an intriguing lot of (a lot of pre-World War 2?) art by Stanley White

Anyone an expert on the newspaper-strip-reprinting 'Zoo comic' from, probably, the 1990s? I'd love to confirm the year of publication and fill in some gaps in my covers gallery. Thanks!

A quick google says issue 1 came out in 1989, which would fit - those images do jolt a long-buried hint of a memory, and the very early 90s seems about right for when I'd have been reading this.

Elsewhere it's been noted that 'The Duplex' is listed in issue #2 of 'Zoo' and, as the strip only debuted on Sep 7th 1993 it must come after that

The latest Catawiki auction ends tonight - good luck if you're bidding (p.s. you'll now need to bid a lot more than one euro for that Red Moon Mystery board)

From 1973 publication 'It's all lies' comes 'Geoffrey Gimp - special agent' by Mick McMahon.  Read all about it...

https://boysadventurecomics.blogspot.com/2022/12/its-all-lies-1973.html

I'm not a McMahon expert but I'd be interested to know more about Mick's pre-2000AD work and how early this work is in his list of published work. I'm guessing it's pretty early? The earliest? Let me know!
