r - is this all a fantasy world? Surely the part with Ferris on the float is just part of a mad daydream - that didn't really happen, did it? And the furious, red-faced teacher that attempts to break into the house - that's not realistic, either. Are there really two people, or is this all happening in Cameron's mind? Is Ferris real, or is this the model for Fight Club?

The actor that played the red faced teacher was charged with taking explicit photo's of a 14 year old boy some years later.

Oh, Jeffrey Jones! I love that actor, but alas... Nobody's perfect, apparently.

Well, when it comes to to this topic, my list is pretty scarce. The reason why: is because I tend to avoid movies I like so they won't eventually get me bored. For example; I saw A Clockwork Orange the other day, that masterpiece of cinema, after 10 years of pause after I saw it in my early 20s (when I felt like I am finally grown up man after watching that film) and probably I won't see it for another 10 years. However, movies I have seem so often are 80/90s actioneers and comedies.

Big Trouble in Little China
Commando
T2
The Running Man
Last Action Hero
Predator (in fact, pretty much everything with Arnie in)
Cobra
Beverly Hills Cop trilogy (doesn't get any less funnier)
Ace Ventura 1&2
Dumb and Dumber

Oh, and I forgot The Mask.

Hm, I played recently remastered version of the game and imho, it holds pretty well, considering the time it was released. Graphics are top notch and game play has few neat tricks that occupied me for hours. I think it's better than Judge Dredd vs Death (which should be remastered too) and I also think it's one of the best games based on a source material (comics in this case), which is not a small achievement.

I remember when I read the first (and only) four Fleming books, from Casino Royale to Diamonds are Forever and was shocked to realize how Fleming Bond is pretty much grounded, even for the most down to Earth cinematic representation. Bereft of ironic wit, and by all accounts, an ordinary man who happens to be a secret agent. Tbh, that kinda disappointed me as it lacked flamboyance from the movies. Furthermore, I found a bit of myself in Fleming's rendition of the character. His doubts, thoughts, his general chilled to the bone attitude, although personally I don't drive, neither I smoke 70 cigarettes a day, neither possess a gun, nor my thrill is sex with married women (not that I ever did it) :)... Also, this Bond suffers terribly. Usually, these stories end with Bond contemplating leaving the life of secret agent behind, on the account of injuries he got in the process.

Sorry, yes, Doctor Who. Finding a way of not only changing actors but folding those changes into the plot. In Bond's case, though, it strips him of his superhuman status - suddenly, he can die, thus opening up dramatic opportunities...

I dunno... Bonds I enjoy the most are those that show him the least grounded (like Moore films) :)

They should pull a Who with Bond.

You mean, Doctor Who? I don't know... I havent followed the series. But I heard the ratings currently aren't exactly admirable.

The thing with Bond is, that being 007 isn't just another moniker as people thought from G. Lazenby's opening line. It's practically the same character, with severe slow-age problem.

Well, I ain't exactly warmed up for this one. Partly because imo Bond movies ran out of their juice, partly because I don't rate Craig's films highly, and partly because I hate the cast on this new one. I mean, yeah, of all Craig movies, CR is maybe the best. A classy piece of work. But the rest... And why they had to return Leah Seydoux for the upcoming film? Her facial expressions are all the same. Rami Malek is a talented guy, but I don't see him as a Bond villain. And the storyline; if the rumors are true, that Bond is retired and then is forced to get back into action - well, how many times we've seen a similar or exact scheme?

I'm looking forward to A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge.  I hear it's a gay allegory.  If it is I bet it's all kinds of clumsy because the 80's.

You described the film just perfectly.

Finished out the year with Predator 2 which is my favorite Predator film.

All my fave movies.
Memento - the movie you can watch numerous times and yet, still get something new. Arugably, oneo f Nolan's best.

Highlander - timeless story, sympathetic hero, charismatic villain, cool romantic subplot, cool swordfights, Queen soundtrack, 1980s aesthetics...what more can I ask for? Btw, it's interesting to see Kurgan progressing from the original script (which, in a way, was way more darker than finishing film) to the over the top Clancy Brown performance.

Predator 2 - well, I like the original more, but P2 is pretty darn close. Danny Glover and Gary Busey. Opening shootout ;)

Liar. There's no such thing as a PS5.

There is. Has been released worldwide (except China and India) previous month. I didn't know either, until I found out recently.

Face Noir

A point-n-click mystery game from an Italian indie studio. True to the noir roots, you're a burnt-out, alcoholic, deeply cynical detective who is determined to solve the mystery of a dead man, whom he had a close relationship in the past (close, but not quite bright). The story is well told, interesting to follow, and includes typical themes associated with the genre; corruption that reaches high levels, mistrust, shady characters, numerous plot twists, secret societies, stereotypical characters (funny Chinaman, greedy Russian), etc. Near the end of the game, the story delves into the supernatural, but it still feels cool. I like the idea of solving the case based on a dream you had (something which amused me in Batman Broken City). The atmospherics are pretty good, but unfortunately, the graphics are lackluster (and are lagging behind at least five years from when the game was released (2013). However, this is the least flaw you'll encounter in the game.  Several puzzles are frustrating to solve, requiring you to think like a real detective, with than average IQ. The nature of the puzzles is sometimes pretty unfair (for example, one requires to observe a string of symbols carved onto a totem pole; however, due to the camera being on some considerable distance, in addition to mediocre graphics, you need to stretch your eyes wide as you possibly can). Also, the interaction system is basically broken as it often requires you to click on every object in the background or using every item in your inventory on a designated object, which happens more often than not and is the solution that works when you ponder what next (as the game doesn't really give you hints what to do or where to go). Also, the game is pretty linear and straightforward and often forces you to visit locations you visited before and talk with characters you already talked with. The game ends on a cliffhanger note, promising a sequel, but due to the developer going bust, so...

Thank you, everyone. Yes, I am aware of cast, diverse material 2000ad can offer to readers. To me, 2000ad is like western manga.

I finally managed to pass intelligence test, now famous "redd" instead of "dredd". Anyway, thank for letting me join your family. I admit I didn't read 2000ad that much, at least not when compared Marvel or DC. But 2000ad did something that those two didn't. Once a was awfully depressed, so much I even remember the dates, and really was in awful condition.
It's where I picked a copy of JD: Day the Law Died and immensely loved it. Especially humor and immediately I felt better.
Now, I read 2000ad from time to time, collect trades, and such. I finished few days ago Future Shocks vol2, then ordered vol1.
I even consider developing my scripts for submission, once lockdown gets lifted up.

Cheers, people.
