The Love Doctor

Time for the Doc to make an ass of himself again with another useless question.
Is Richard Elson the same guy who used to do the Sonic the Hedgehog comic? All mine are in the attic so i can't be arsed looking them up, but I'm pretty sure I recognize the name, and even the style, despite the fact that Atavar is clearly human whereas Sonic is... a 70's punk hedgehog with snazzy sneakers.
That sounded really awful.
Anyone got the answer?
I'm dyin' here.

Doc the Badnik
p.s. Didnt Sonic the Comic kick serious ass? I loved every pae of that stuff.

Yes he is the same guy.

I know cos I er...once bought a copy of Sonic the comic.

You see, the secret of success for budding 2k artists is to draw punky animals and you too can be a star!

Speaking of Sonic the Comic, does anyone have copies with Sonic or Tails strips drawn by Mike McMahon that they'd be prepared to sell (or lend for scanning)?

It's a bit of a gap on the McMahon website at the moment.

McMahon also did some work on the old Marvel UK Rugrats comic.  I had some of them and was going to send them to you for the site, SiGu, but...erm...I can't find them.

*sob*  My only evidence of the fabled Milo-McMahon collaborative effort...alas, lost forever!

I've got tons of Sonic the Comics, they were great! If you realy want to borrow some, how would I get them to you?

sigu

Hi Jenny,
if you have one or two issues with McMahon art in I'd love to borrow them. You could send me your postal address via my sendmail page (using the link below), then I can send you a cheque for postage and an address to post them to.

McMahon drew over 150 pages of strip for Sonic and about 40 covers, so any of the following would be great (ideally a strip and a cover):
Issues featuring strip and cover art:
104, 107, 112, 117, 121, 124, 134, 138, 140, 142, 148, 150, 151, 159, 163, 166, 169
Issues featuring strip art only:
97-99, 101, 102, 109, 110, 118, 131
Issues featuring cover art only:
113-116, 119, 126, 127, 128, 133, 135, 137, 139, 141, 143, 144, 146, 147, 149, 152-157, 160

Thanks!

Chin up, Milo. If I find them you can have them once they've been scanned. Just out of interest, did you work on either of these strips?

'Off to work we go'
'The day the garden stood still'
