I was suggesting YT do it on the firing range- just out of curiosty

It'd be hilarious if Dredd needed to do it all the time

"Because you know I'm faster, huh?"

"No. Because twenty-years on Titan made you forget to put your gun in your boot. You flat-flaced pillock."

(Big spod quiz clue: what Dredd did put a buzz in the air.)

...got drunk with a sailor.

When I first read Dredd the whole uniform raised a series of questions with regard to functionality and purpose. The boot holster was certainly up there with the more unique ideas in the design. I think it's a groovy futuristic unlike anything we've seen before idea, which is exactly what I want from my groovy futuristic comic stories.

As to how to best use a boot holster, maybe you could just lift your knee a bit, this could make the draw a bit quicker, even, maybe...? If you got 15 years of training, you'd probably be able to pull the gun out while running at full tilt. Also, if you had injured your regular shooting hand, the old "cross draw" would be a lot easier if the gun was on your boot rather than your hip (anyone got a scan of this image, can't remember which story myself!). The normal notion of it being easy to draw whilst on a Lawmaster is still a really practical idea.

JOE SOAP

It all depends on how high the boot holster goes and how long a lawgiver actually is. I reckon if the the gun holster reaches the top of the boot and that the Lawgiver is quite long, the lawgiver could be pulled out forward from a holster with an open front without the need to crouch much or at all. As a matter of fact it should be easier than having to draw the gun up from a normal hip holster, which is actually quite awkward.

Misanthrope

Ive always imagined the Judges drawing their lawgivers by raising their foot and bending their knee. Imagine the action of someone kneeing someone in the nuts.
