Have been looking at House of Hell a bit more today, and have worked out that the minimum number of Fear points you can pick up on the way to paragraph 400 is nine. Given that your maximum capacity for Fear is between 7 and 12, you have a 50% chance of losing with a die roll before you even turn to paragraph 1!
Mine arrived Friday - very nice piece of work. I was rarely a reader of Look-in, but suffer badly from nostalgia, so this stuff is just fantastic as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to see the Catweazle series given this treatment, although I don't know how much of it there actually was. I never watched it on TV, but I read Richard Carpenter's novelisations of the two series a couple of years ago and thought they were really good fun. (It would be really, really easy to do a proper, modern, sequel following on directly from the end of the original, probably staring Mackenzie Crook.)

So hopefully we can get the next arc this, from Kek-W's twitter:

Why, yes, I am writing a new series of DEADWORLD.

Characters die. Unexpected alliances. Pitiless battles. Double crosses. Reversed roles. Old scores are settled. Judge Death as you've never seen him before!

And a season ending that'll blow your mind.

War Machine probably won Friday a lot of votes across the rounds, but with it the thrill drags a lot of baggage so it with some small relief that its march through the tourney is over. Storming Warning will have to win over tougher ties to go much further but for now

Storm Warning

isn't giving up the ghost on it chances in Round 4.

A childhood in the 70s was never that much fun! And especially Space Hoppers!

too true!
Are we including the initial Abelard Snazz story as a Robo-Tale (which I think it was when first published)?

Sorry I missed this. This was a question I'm glad I wasn't asked for the Abelard Snazz as the answer there would have been complex. Here its easy. yers those stories count as they came under the series Robo-Tales and so are paert of your vote.

Late in the day I know but there we go and doubt it would have effected the result.
