Fish once really pissed off my mum by taking far too long in front of her in Haddington Post Office.

Wikipedia has a short list of notable people with aphantasia...

Ed Catmull, co-founder of Pixar & former president of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
James Harkin, British podcaster and television writer.
Richard Herring, British comedian and podcaster.
Glen Keane, animator, author, and illustrator.
Lynne Kelly, writer on mnemonics and memory techniques.
Mark Lawrence, fantasy author.
Yoon Ha Lee, science fiction author.
Laura Lexx, comedian.
Derek Parfit, British philosopher.
Blake Ross, co-creator of the web browser Mozilla Firefox.
Michelle Sagara, fantasy author.

Dunno about you, but I see a bit of a pattern there, (not literally, that actually is a figure of speech - although now I've said that I'm picturing a sort of vague tartan, but I don't think that relates to anything except perhaps my inherent Scottishness).

Where do I stand? I'll tell you where I stand. I stand four-square for justice. I stand for discipline, good order and the rigid BZZT of the law - and Grud help any limp-wrist liberals who say any different.

Yeah not too shabby. Wonder if our own Happy Grennie and Tiernen Trevallion (or Dom Reardon as I guess he's Absalom's co-creator) have had any input / thoughts on this?

"Gaze into the BZZT of Dredd" surely works better?

Yep, and the Christmas prog also comes out a week before the next issue of the Megazine does.

Books & Comics / Hallowscream! Hallowe'en Special 2022
« on: 31 October, 2022, 05:45:02 PM »

Rising once more from its uncanny year-long slumber, Hallowscream has returned with a fear-filled & frightening fourteenth issue. 36 pages of horror comic to download as a pdf, or read online!

Click here for more info and to download!

Specifically, your horror comic strips. This year's issue of the free, downloadable horror comic looks as if it may be running a few pages short, (and now a couple of people have had to pull out from contributing due to health issues), so I've extended the deadline slightly and gone fishing for any suitable stuff any small pressers may have done. If you've drawn a horror strip that's a few pages long and would like to see it within Hallowscream's pages, then you can submit it to merjeagles@yahoo.co.uk ( or ghastlymcnasty@backfromthedepths.co.uk ) by the 28th of this month, (October). We're happy to use previously published work, (as long as you own the copyright).

If you want to take the opportunity to promote any other (scary) comics you're involved with, you can stick a page in to do that as well and if you can also submit any single pieces of horror artwork by the 28th and we'll chuck that into the mix too.

Previous issues of Hallowscream can be downloaded as pdfs from www.hallowscream.net or viewed online at https://issuu.com/malcomix

The new issue becomes available to download on the 31st, and physical copies will become available at a later date.

More submission info can be found here... https://malcolmkirk.blogspot.com/2022/05/hallowscream-phantasmagorical.html
