ADAMTINE by Hannah Berry

I really enjoyed briefly chatting to the delightful Hannah Berry at the Glasgow Comic Con thing and also her marvellous BRITTEN AND BRULIGHTLY noirish detective tale with some outright bizarre elements.

So I picked up this slimmer more tightly focused horror tale as well. Gosh, it's good stuff - genuinely creepy and scary , packed full of claustrophobic atmosphere and pages that reward careful rescanni g. Horror, especially goreless horror, is very hard to do in comics but by golly she pulls it off with aplomb.

And I love her art style and pallette. Would be great to see something from her in the prog or meg.

I've got ahold of Britten and Brulightly but I haven't read it yet - I saw her do a talk on horror in comics recently and it was bloody marvellous.

This was one of the things I never got round to picking up at Kendal, also missed her talks as they were clashing with the other ones I fancied.
