the Twix McFlurry led to all the elements being glued together in an unsatisfying dairy blob

I'm genuinely disappointed by that review. I was planning to get one of those tomorrow.

It might have just been the ice cream machine, but the caramel just glued everything together so that all of the elements were shouting at once instead of complementing each other. The Twix pieces might have brought everything together but biscuit texture is just too incongruous in an ice cream context.

I will try to get a McFlurry, and report back.

Pah. I like ice cream.

Just up the road from me is a dairy farm that's diversified by making its own ice cream and opening a cafe. It's incredible stuff, in dozens of flavours like Orange Marmalade Cheesecake, Creme Egg, Caramel Shortbread and a creamy vanilla that's simply called Moo. I often take my son in there, and the two of us get a treat for a total of about £4, then we get to look at the animals. We like the pigs and cows best.

A McFlurry may be a guilty pleasure of mine, but I do love proper ice cream.

Andre who?  ;)

My studio head brought back a magazine from E3 with my artwork all over the cover (and over 7 pages inside). Until that point I knew nothing about this.

Emperor

I won the new Return of the Living Dead 2-disc release. Even though I love the film I already had the earlier release so probably wouldn't be able to justify buying it again (although I have just got the 3-disc steelbox edition of Versus when I already had the 2-disc version). There is a limited edition steelbox RoTLD Blu-Ray release but as I've not updated to Blu-Ray I'm OK with that. So it worked out nicely - it is the edition I'd have been tempted by but would have probably put it off so long that it'd have gone out of print.

Now that'd be a nice surprise.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Briliant news- well done! :-D As soon as you can, let us know the details, and we'll spread the word.

Thank you! And I will indeed be shouting it from the high roofs as soon I'm allowed to give details. Right now we're not even allowed to say who's funding it until they send out the press release, which is annoying.

God knows how the people involved in the big Holywood movies deal with it when they're under strict NDAs and constant scrutiny. Poor buggers.

That's great!  The next Ed Wood could be walking amongst us and we never knew!

Good news GordyM! Is there a trailer yet?  :) :)

The fact there isn't makes me fear the Producers have no confidence in this film. Together with the rumours of GordyM being locked out of the edit suite, it makes me worried that this film will go straight to DVD.
