Very nice portrait Hoagy. I've never tried to draw Alpha. His costume looks even more elaborate than Dredd's!

He's a bit lopsided but I really tried to get his look correct. Strontium dog is one of those characters that has an ever evolving uniform in my mind. Some fan specifics come along and stay in place but once you research him you find there are a few variations on the pads and the belts, Fink. I find that room from for play.

This was my Dredd one page intended for this years Art Stars competition, but I didn't get it finished in time.

Trying to get that really crisp style and smudging it still. Still, can't find the Dredd head thread. I'll pop this here for now.

Again trying to get a vibrant crisp digital edge on the scoring of the Judge Death here. Again ending up with an oily rendition.

Great portraits Hoagy and that Dredd Head is stunning. Loving the light shading around the mouth and chin. The helmet looks crisp to me. Nice shadow and gum/teeth highlights under the Death Head helmet.

Have you got an example of the particular effect you're striving for? I'm barely a beginner when it comes to digital painting so not much help but I'm interested in how you're generating your pieces and where you're aiming for.

Of course I know I have to develop my own style and such and not compare myself to other artists but I'm looking at  cleaning up my disciplines of approach to canvas more than following a certain artist.

A bit plasticky on the organic materials but I'm liking certain incidents in this one. Shoulder pads are uneven but what the hey, maybe he's got different categories per victim. Maybe be able to start adding a little flare to the next ones...
