Dumb all over, a little ugly on the side.

SIP

A re-worked old sketch....changed the head.  The original is very small on horrible paper, hence the scruffy line work.

...and something a little more "polished".

....and lastly, a recent ANderson pic with a quick cartoon-colour job added.

Cheers!

Nice work Simon you've been busy :)  I'm calling it a day on my MPH fan art piece I may add in some texture but I'd imagine it'll largely go unnoticed.

Darren Stephens

Brilliant, Ant. I love the way you've faded out the inks as they go back. Adds some great depth.

Thanks Darren, I owe that one to mimikeke. I may reduce the effect a little but it works great.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

My first Dredd:

Date is real. Same cover date as prog 1.

I'm trying to work out where I copied this from. I always thought it was from the preview image of Dredd in prog 1 but looking online I see that was a different image. So looks like it was from prog 2. Or a 2000AD advert I wonder.

I guessed some or all of the colours. Originally I coloured the boot red. When I found out Dredd's boots were green (possibly weeks later) I went back and fixed that up. Think I coloured the glove yellow then revisited that, correcting it by adding blue (might've been the other way round).

Obviously I lost interest when I got to the logo.

Page 46 was Dan Dare, drawn on 28 Jan 1977.

I'm slowly getting my mitts on my old comics and drawings. Mountains of the stuff. I have a drawing almost for every day of 1977 and 78.

Me? Old? No chance.
