Was there ever a 2000AD equivalent of this photo?

With the finest artistic talent in British comicdom to call on to mark the historic beginning of such a bold new era in publishing, they went with... that.

Not what you're looking for, but a more recent version...

It is missing someone in a boiler suit wearing a green planet of the apes mask!
It's a joke. I was joking.

I don't have Thrill-Power Overload and nothing seemed to come up on Google so I was wondering if there ever was an 2000AD equivalent of this photo:

It's a photo of the founders of Metal Hurlant. From left to right: Bernard Farkas (financial director), Jean-Pierre Dionnet (Conquering Armies author), Philippe Druillet (Lone Sloane creator), and Jean Giraud (aka Moebius).

Is Jean-Pierre Dionnet wearing knee pads?
DDT did a job on me

Moebius is doing a Paul McCartney

Pretty brave thing to do too, as Paris had about 650 people a year going to the hospital after slipping on dog waste!

Btw the four guys in that photo are creative geniuses! Z

Zen get your lawyer ready - you don't call an accountant 'creative'.

You've clearly never seen my tax returns  :)

Would love to see group photos of Mills, Wagner, McMahon, Grant etc. back in 1977. But I presume because they never worked together in the same place there was never a sense of occasion to warrant a photo like that. And the fact that the IPC comics back then typically had a short life span maybe 2000AD was just seen as another project to work on before moving on.

Not completely related but I do love this photo of the Deadline studio featuring Brett Ewins, Jamie Hewlett and Steve Dillon.

And on a completely separate tangent this photo is one of my favourite group shots: Spielberg, John Milius and Lucas checking out the Apocalypse Now script on the set of Jaws:

Only four Frenchmen could get away with this.... even then it has to be four Frenchmen in the 1970's. Also, is Moebius standing on Druillet's foot?

Love that photo!....I've long been a fan of the French art show Tac au Tac, from the same era as the photo posted above - artists are challenged to work together in various ways... Giraud, Gotlib, Mandryka and Alexis (or very possibly Lemmy)...
