it must be a classic ,simple but brilliant. SIMON DAVIS
has caught just the note to show off 2000ad on this jubilee week how about a slant on the world cup ??

Yep, it's a great cover.  One of the best in years.  Really strong and eye-catching, and goign back to the comic's old punk vibe.

Ace cover!
I like the diddy-li'l logo!

And yeh, the link don't work.
Better set your phaser to stun.

I'm not convinced.
Pretty? Yes.
Clich?d as fuck? Indeed.

One thing I can say in its favour is that it dares to make it self noticed and tries to tap into something big in the world of adults. But if 2000AD is going survive and flourish it needs to subvert and innovate, not serve up flavour of the month.

Pop culture these days for you, all stale retro  and fake rebellion.

I thought it was excellent: Very topical and nicely rebellious, paying homage the Sex Pistols' 'God Save the Queen' sleeve on the week of the Queen's Jubilee. I'd like to see more like it, and less like last week's off-the-production-line 13 cover.
Simon Davis: He means it, maaaaaaan!
