A Visual Basic sort of question?

Long story made short:

It woudl be very cool if I could get my hands on a Visual Basic Run time control called Greentree Datatree. But to the best of my knowledge and searches, it's showing up as they've gone out of business and you can't download the control from the various shareware sites that were offering it for sale. (all theones I have tried take me to a dead Grentree link that offers me the domain name for sale)

So my moral compass says in this case, it might be OK to try and get a copy of the installable from some torrent site rather than through non-existent legit sources.  So which is best and safest?  And/or, is there another way to get my hands on a copy of the software).   

I don't have license keys but have managed (legitimately) to get my hands on an unlock code (whatever that is).

Is this for home or work?

It's for personal stuff.  I don't have the Green tree Data tree application software and the bloke that gave me the unlock code destroyed all of their copies for tax purposes.

I've never so much as torrented a TV show so this is all new territory for me.
