i would have posted this in the reviews section, but I can't post or reply there. I have no idea why.

Anyway, here's my relatively spoiler free review of the return of the Sci Fi Special.

Like it BCB particularly the b/w Orlok story.

Interesting review of a long awaited return to the 2000AD summer specials.

Not sure if you are saying this is the first Judge Dredd summer special story written by a lady or if its the first JD story written by a lady? If the latter, thats incorrect as she co-wrote 'Suicide Watch' and more recently her debut as a lone writer was the Dredd story 'Ferals'.

Ah - I misunderstood the blurb. it is a story from the "first female writer to write Dredd", not her first story.

Bit confusing. Now edited  ;)

didnt detract from the enjoyment of the review!

COMMANDO FORCES

Looking forward to reading this when it hits the shops, especially after reading the review of the Dredd story. May have to dig out the Stront story for reference ;)

It probably doesn't help that I've recently re read my Stront collection and it was quite fresh. A good, funny story, featuring very early Colin MacNeil art (I think he is the first to draw SD in the prog aside from Ezquerra)

can't be arsed trawling through the other thread, so can anyone tell me when it does hit the shelves, and is it comic shops only or newsagents too?
