Hi, Brian! Your drawing is amazing (again, as usual). I like the retro layout style and is very fun to see Alan Moore in a astronaut costume. Congratulations!

Another entry for the "July Art Comp - The Ballad of Halo Jones Book 4": "BACK ON THE CHAIN GANG". Halo Jones in the Phlondrutian prison.
Hope you like it. Thanks!

Hey, Albion! I think "Book Five" would be a good subject to the August Art Competition. What Alan Moore would think of all that? I suppose his reaction would be worse than the reaction he had when DC announced "Before Watchmen".

Hi, Albion! You added the robotic Aberlard Snazz's helper! I suspect the next entry will be their son or daughter. I suppose the child will have the dad's eyes, ALL FOUR!

Now that I would like to see. Bring on Book Five.  :D

Hi, Andy and Fungus!
I understand perfectly what you mean when mentions of drawing or doodling again after a creative block . Submit entries to a competition is a excellent form to keep drawing and obbey rules (deadline, for instance) and also to publish your work, as you are a would-be artist as you are drawing only as hobby, for fun.
Cheers!

Here he is having joined my other 2000AD clay models on one of my geek shelves:

As a group, SM, that's wonderful. Keep going  :) I don't even have a favourite, they're all fantastic.

And the art comp got me doodling again after many years so I'm in its and CFM's debt. The quality last month was just silly, so a testament to the job he's done.
Cheers!

I've said this before a number of times, this competition has got me drawing again after a 10 year creative block - I owe a great deal to CFM and the forum members for that.
It'd be such a sad loss if CFM left and/or the competition was closed. We usually have a great time here, marvelling at all the artwork and creativity, and sharing a laugh or two.
Let's get back to that... :)
