How do!
I'm having trouble with my cd writer, in that if i try and use a disk with a higher capacity than 700mb, for example a 900mb, the computer will only read it as a 700mb disk.

I've tried this on more than one PC, all running on XP pro, and get the same results every time.

Do i need a specialised writer?

surely must be sumat to do with the reading software. Or is that just "another" XP fault? Have you checked out for upgrades and patches at the windows update webpage?

I used to have that problem too, but found that using Nero to burn stuff solved the problem.

fred

yup, that's what I use too. No prob's with me and that software. So easy to use too.

Well, ive got all the XP upgrades, and i'm using Nero, but still no luck.
Reckon its the Writer itself.

Cheers for the help tho, dudes!!

Demon Chicken

No! Not Nero! It's crap, easy CD creator everytime!  The newest one also recognises 80min discs unlike version 4!  Go now! BUY! BUY! CONFORM! CONSUME! OBEY!
