I'd very much like to throw my name in a hat for this.  :)

The Running Man was on Telly last night. Not the greatest of films but not a complete turd either. Not a patch on the book though, I think I new adaption closer to the source material is in order!

Cheers

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?
01 September, 2012, 10:30:04 PM
Recently finished Strontium Dogs complete files 1. Thought it was pretty good on the whole except for the early annual stories that were right at the back. The Hitler story was my personal favorite.
Going to try Dredd complete vol 1 again. I started reading it awhile back but found the earliest stories a bit
dull.

Really good series. Episode 3 is excellent; better twists/surprises than I've seen in most films to be honest. I hope they don't lose momentum as this is something that that could run to a second series; (after parts 4 & 5 of course).

Quality  :)

Fact: the World is not overpopulated; it's just very badly managed!

Music / Re: What's everyone listening to...?
30 August, 2012, 02:31:53 PM
Today I've been mostly listening to-the crappy pre-programmed Digi box that's been installed at my work (they won't renew public entertainment license). There's less than 100 songs on it, and they all sound like rip-offs of other tunes.

Will need a full night of Grind to get over this tosh!

Cheers  :)

Film & TV / Re: Bottom's Back!

Bottom is one of my favorite comedy's of all time (also Blackadder/Red Dwarf/Fawlty towers).
It will be good to see them back on Telly; too much of today's comedy is bland. (in my humble opinion)

The last 2 films I watched were-Cabin in the Woods & Expendables 2.
Both films were a load of crap!

Cabin was especially bad; twists that could be seen coming from a mile away, and generally a stupid story altogether.

Sorry to those that liked it, but for me it was a lot of hype instead of substance.

Cheers  :P

If your X-Box is connected wirelessly then you might need to change the channel on your wireless modem. 7 or 10 is normally what I set them to. All information to do this should be on the back of the hub.

It worked, finally able to play online again. Thanks a lot  :)

Off Topic / Virgin Media (dodgy service)

Richard Branson is once again advertising his so-called Internet service (4 times broadband/blah blah). Now for the past month my Internet advice has been pretty much non-existent. Has anyone else had problems; and if so-have you had any joy contacting them. All I'm getting from them is, "we're aware of the problem and doing our best to fix it."  :-*

Games / Re: Dust: An Elysian Tail

There's a game on Xbox live called 'From Dust', it has a similar graphic style but I think it's an Rpg. From the guy that made 'Another World/Flashback I think.

Games / Re: Do you remember......?

I don't remember it's name but there was a game that had extremely dodgy translations-"all of you are base belong to us!". I think the Japanese coders did a direct translation into English resulting in bizarre/mangled grammar. Gaming gold.

Is the first 'Dust' game any good? I've been tempted a few times but not sure if the price is worth it.
