My wife tells me that Tesco's are currently selling Dr Who birthday cakes, not that curious in itself- but these are talking ones!!!! There is apparently a button that you press on it to get it to talk. I wonder if it says 'EXTERMINATE' or sings 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' in a Dalek voice!

Here is a new thread for the Necronauts, the last one was too long anyway. I'd like to start the thread off with a plea to all the Necs who left Urban Dead because of Department Q- and especially Funtsolo, who put a lot of hard work in for the group- to come back. Things are sorting out now and we need you all for the pub crawl. It would be nice if we could all put up messages to try to persuade them back as the game gave us cameraderie- albeit short lived. Here is a Q(no pun) for Dunny to post up too...

All that Rian Hughes business has led me thinking... have you folks debated the pro's and con's of Miss Slade yet? I have to say here- i like it. Here's why-
1 Iain Gibson
2 She has character that the Synamon types never have. She's a bit scuzzy and delinquent, and she arses everything up.
3 Iain Gibson's female characters- ok i know they're all the same with diffrent hair, but who the hell cares?
4 A bit of a 'light' story played for comedy is good- no one complains about Kipling!
5 It expunges the memory of the Millar/Casanovas, Hogan/Hughes and whoever/Williams travesties. I don't know if others have had a go after this, if so i'm glad i missed it.
6 Yer old pal's head in a jar- what a cool continuity thread- remember how people used to gas about Sam Slades age back in the day? We've seen it in futurama, Hellboy and probably others. Keep him on Samanth'as desk issuing advice and critising!
7 Did i mention Iain Gibson?
