This is a whole lot better than my daughter's Cinderella themed advent calendar!

Excellent work everybody! :D

News / Re: Digital download progs in 2000AD shop

I would SO buy TPBs in digital form!

As it happens, Santa (read Mrs Jomster) has a big wish list for print TPBs, which I'm really hoping I get rather than a new watch! I'd happily move gradually to digital though.

What worried me so far about the DriveThruComics collection is that it doesn't seem to have grown, TPB-wise, for ages. If the 2000AD shop really went for it with digital TPBs, that concern would be out the window! :)

Have you seen all the digital download progs on the 2000AD shop? Looking good!

I wonder if there are plans to add any of the trade paperbacks here? (particularly as I don't have enough space and can't afford a bigger house!)

This podcast is one of my "must listens"! Thanks for another entertaining set of reflections and amusing banter!

Great to hear there's going to be even more 2000AD podcasting goodness going forwards! I'm actually going to start getting the Meg off Clickwheel As a result btw so you're fighting the good fight and generating more revenue for Tharg! ;)

People have been raving about episode 2 on twitter, which is on the subject of piracy amongst others. Consider it teed up to make next week's commute a whole lot better, ladies and gents!

Many thanks to the Sunnysiders for very entertaining rants (I mean discussions!) on things from the comics world.

Seriously though, the ones I've listened to so far are cracking stuff! :D

Actually those spiders might have been at the same time! Clearly the traumatising experience has led me to black out the details! Lovely art though! :)

Prog 142 for me, kindly brought home by my dad for just over 10p! Don't think he knew just how lasting an impact buying that comic would have! :D

It featured Blackhawk and a Great Beast fighting on a world inside a black hole. I was hooked. Although the prog not that long after with the massive spider invasion coming out if the Cursed Earth in Dredd did absolutely nothing for my arachnophobia!

This could result in me finally getting the Meg just to join in the fun! Only two quid a go on clickwheel but then would I be too late for the podcast? Or should I add it to the subscription I'm about to renew? Questions, questions...

Great news anyway!

More on the Meg, trades and interviews would be brilliant!

Great to see McCarthy back, and I quite liked the names, even down to the Graham Norton cul-de-sac gag.

I only thought they missed a trick by not having it on the cover.

Good point! Perhaps it will be next week?

This prog felt a bit "coasting" to me too... But still, it's been so blooming good of late, it's got some stiff competition!

Really looking forward to Rogue Trooper, but no surprise there!

Very entertaining episode. Excellent job ladies!

One thing though, some bloke kept walking into the Studio at one point. Best lock the doors next time!

You can get season 2?!? In a box set?!? For nearly a year now?!?

Thanks for starting this thread just before Christmas! Time to write to Santa (I.e. mention it to MrsJomster!)

That was awesome -they even had a halftrack too!

Has anyone seen 'The Keep' where a load of Boxheads in a Romanian castle get slotted by some Vlad Tepes -esque ghoul?

Fiends (or 'Friends of the Eastern Front' as my better half says) would make such a great movie. I don't think we'll ever get tired of Nazis or vampires at the cinema -why not do the decent thing and combine them (of course it would be serious socio-historic metaphor as well...)

I remember The Keep! I think I quite liked it at the time, although it was a long time ago! Might youtube it...

FotEF is so on my "must buy" list.

Books & Comics / Re: S/D Agency Files 02

It's been a while since I read the stories in this trade, say getting on for thirty years (!), but one thing in particular struck me that I wanted to mention.

It's the way Carlos plays with different panel edges, the way they link and curve. The variety and style is just wonderful. A nice case of taking another look at his work and finding something new and unexpected that you really like. The art is of course just the business as are the stories.

Consider me one very happy reader of Agency Files 02!  :D
