One of my favourite renditions of Wulf ever:

(And I'm not being a crawly bum lick - it's just that someone posted the link to the site and that was there...)

There was a bit of bile about it over at 2000ADreview - and whilst I was a bit shocked at seeing the artist saying hello to me out of the page, it didn't detract from the story.

Bellardinelli had himself all over his strips - and nobody batted an eyelid - in fact he gets praised for it.

That Tharg bloke puts himself on the cover and actually has himself starring in stories from time to time, so this is nothing in comparison.

I'm sure I've already mentioned it, but there was a customer we had called Mr Oola.

OOOOOOOH-LAAAAAAAA!

Altogether now:  "the chances of anything coming from Mars, are a million to one, he said (ahh, ahh)..."

I didn't get Ebeneezer Good's slightly hidden message until I read about it in the paper.

Mind you, at least I wasn't alone.

B-But that would mean that "She's Got The Jack" may have conotations quite outwith the quality of her current hand of cards!

Gulf has a u as in cut or hut - unless you have a geordie accent, in which case it might be more like an 'oo'.

Wolf has an o pronounced as if it's "oo" as in boot.

And now you've made me realise it.  I was so innocent then.

Their acapella (sp?) rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on the B side of their one (?) hit single was excellent.

(I didn't know why Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood was rude, or what the exploding champagne in the video signified, or what "I'm Turning Japanese" was talking about...)

I always pronounced it "Wolf" in my head, but with an intonation on the vowel that brought it close to "Wulf as in Gulf".

Erm...so both.

It took me over a decade to spot what the names Ro-jaws & Hammerstein were riffing.
